Before you apply
- Check the wall is dry, sound and free from loose paint, grease and dust. Investigate damp before covering it.
- Treat plasterboard joints and fasteners with a compatible jointing system; a decorative coat cannot stop movement.
- Repair defects and level unwanted ridges. Confirm whether Cement 707 or 710 is appropriate for the actual base.
- Approve a physical sample in the final lighting, including its primer and protective finish.
A considered sequence
Prime the substrate
Use the approved primer and follow its dilution, drying and recoating instructions.
Build the finish
Apply with the recommended tool and consistent technique. Plan natural stopping points at corners or openings.
Refine and protect
Follow the specified sequence for sanding and protection. Test sealer on the sample because it may change tone and sheen.

Care for the finish
Dust with a soft cloth. Test gentle cleaning in an inconspicuous place and follow the sealer's care instructions. Avoid abrasive pads and keep the product and color record for repairs.
Questions about walls
Can it go over paint?
Possibly, after checking adhesion and compatibility. Glossy, loose and sound painted surfaces need different preparation.
Will it hide cracks?
A decorative coating is not a crack repair system. Find the cause and preserve movement joints where required.
Can a small area be repaired?
A hand-applied finish varies. Trial the repair method; refinishing a whole visual plane may give a more consistent result.
